Welcome to MBCT: The Mindful Way to Well-being, an eight-week experiential group program based on the highly researched Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) program. It is designed to reduce anxiety, distress, and depression and increase positive mental health and well-being.

This program is appropriate for adults experiencing on-going stress and anxiety, emotional distress, and/or depressed symptoms such as burnout or lack of motivation. This program has been adapted to include people who wish to reduce habits of excessive worry, numbing out, and other unhelpful ways of coping with stress and to increase their sense of enjoyment, peace, and engagement in their lives and relationships.

Program Details:

  • Duration: Eight weeks

  • Session Length: 2 hours per week

  • Format: Currently all sessions are online (using Zoom platform)

  • Access: Participants will receive directions on how to attend.

The cost for this program includes all online class sessions and materials. The fee can be paid all at once, or with a $50 deposit to hold a place and balance due by the first day of class. If there is a hardship you may contact Dr. Alvarado to see about a reduced fee.
